Yesterday morning I was bawling my eyes out. I had found out that I am most likely facing surgery on my left shoulder. What I thought was a swollen and painful spot, ended up being a completely torn muscle (for all you curious exercise educators, it is my infraspinatus muscle that detached itself). This was mostly due to my over zealous hip hop, should be twenty to do these moves not 40, exercise routines over the last few months. Anyway, back to my crying spell and my prayer (probably more like a rant and rave) to God, “it’s just not fair that I hurt myself while I was trying to take care of your temple! Why? Why? Why? I have so many plans this year with this exercise ministry. This is not a good time God!” and I went on and on… This morning during my quiet time (I call it “quiet” time because it’s the about the only time I get quiet and let God speak) I was lead to a scripture in Proverbs 21:30: “There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan, that can succeed against the Lord.” Oh yeah, God, I seemed to have forgotten that yesterday during my mini melt down! Once again, I am reminded of his sovereignty, his love, and that He is in control of everything! Back to Store
What is it for you? Fear of… Is it some of the above? All of the above? Perhaps you could add a few more to the list. Never mind…join the crowd. We fear beginnings; we fear endings. We fear changing; we fear “staying stuck”. Even though we feel fear, we don’t have to let it stop us or cause us to panic. You’re probably charting unfamiliar territory in this class and the chances you’re taking may be causing some fear. At the root of our fear, is the belief that we wont be able to handle the lifestyle changes were going to make in the class. We fear failure. Amazingly, everyone in this room is probably facing the same fear. What if? What if I fail again? I tried so many times to change? Can I really do it this time? Sometimes, we are unable to hear what god says to us about failure. Have you set a high standard for yourself in this program? Are the goals you have se realistic? If you fail in one area of the program, will you give up? Will you feel like a miserable failure if you don’t exercise one week? God doesn’t expect us to meet certain arbitrary standards in order to feel successful or have self-worth. We don’t have to meet certain standards in order to fell good about ourselves. Fearing failure can cause us to avoid the risk of change, live in a state of hopelessness or sink into depression. If we live by this false belief, we are not motivated to change because we feel hopeless. We really believe that we will fail. God’s truth replaces the false belief of performance. God says that we have a secure, self-worth totally apart from our ability to perform. God has given us the righteousness of Christ. In 2 Corinthians 5:21, Paul wrote, “He made Him (Christ) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him”. (NIV) Because we have been given the righteousness of Christ, we are worthy to stand in God’s presence. We are fully pleasing to Him. Even when we fail, our status as God’s child remains intact. We are pleasing to God in spite of our failures. The freedom to fail can give us the motivation we need to make changes in our lives. God empowers us and gives the desire to make changes. Remember the link between fitness and faith? If we want God to use us to our fullest potential, our faith demands that we become good stewards of our bodies-His temple. If we truly understand what Christ did for us on the cross, His love for us will motivate us to live for Him. His love gives us the strength to make changes in our lifestyle which honor Him and casts out all fear.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Here are a list of our most asked recently questions. If you have another question that is not answered here, please email us customerservice@faithfullyfit.com
3. Also how are you affiliated with AFAA?
4. Does the start up package cover the materials for the aerobic instructor?
5. I was wondering how long it takes to receive my video and test?
7. Have you heard of Zumba? Will you be offering that soon?
8a. I am already ACE / AFAA certified but would like to be certified through Faithfullyfit, too?
1. Would love to know what it takes to become certified. Can you do a home study without coming to workshop?
Christian Aerobic Resource’s certifications are national and accepted almost anywhere- even secular gyms. They will teach you from start to finish. The group certification is more for those who want to be an aerobic instructor and the Personal training focuses more on one on one training. All the certs have interactive DVDS that correspond with the workbook so it’s like having a personal coach. Coming in 2011, our certifications will be available online and for college credits. Stay tuned for more details!
After you study the materials and DVDs (which we recommend 2-4 weeks) and you are ready to take the written you will send us an address of an accountability partner we can mail the test to. It is not an open book test but we have included a study guide to make it easier. You also have the option of testing out at a workshop or with a Faithfullyfit Presenter if there is one in your area.
Because our certs are national, you will also need to mail in a practicum. This involves a home video of yourself teaching 2-3 minutes each of a warm-up, aerobic segment, cool down, etc. (this can be done by yourself or with a class) We include all the guidelines in your packet. After we receive your written test and video and you have passed, we will issue you your cert -a wall certificate along with a wallet one that you can show to clubs, etc. We are affiliated with AFAA but this is our own certification!
Because we are national, you will need to keep up on your Continuing education. You will need 12 CECs every two years which is pretty easy to get. Half of the CECs need to come from us and half can be obtained through any other national certifying body.
One more thing, you can take the tests as many times you need to at no additional charge if you don’t pass for some reason but most everyone passes if you are dedicated to studying and passionate about teaching aerobics!
One more thing, you may consider ordering the Start up Package because this includes the cert materials along with several other items including the ministry manual which is invaluable if you are wanting to start an aerobic ministry of your own at your church.

Certification is an asset for any instructor. It provides a knowledge of safety issues (reducing liability), anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. However, there are many who have a professional education but they cannot connect with students. The Faithfullyfit certifications were developed to bridge the gap between practical and technical skills. Because of the interactive DVDs, you literally have your own Personal Trainer instructing you as you follow along in the workbook!
Most clubs, churches,& fitness facilities require the instructor to be certified from a fitness organization. However, some people are allowed to teach classes without a certification in the beginning and are encouraged to become certified. Some organizations might help pay for training once a instructor proves that they are dependable. Most aerobic instructors must complete a group exercise training of some kind. To keep a certification active or current, one must obtain CEC Continuing Education Credits. This is standard in the fitness industry because there are trends and most instructors want to keep current on safety and guidelines for fitness. ORDER & VIEW CERTICATIONS
2. You mentioned that your certification is accepted almost anywhere. Where have they not been accepted?
To my knowledge, our certifications have never been turned down but some clubs may require a specific certification for teaching certain types of classes. For example, Gold’s gyms require that you be certified through LES MILLS if you want to teach their TURBOKICK classes, etc. ORDER & VIEW CERTICATIONS
3. Also how are you affiliated with AFAA?
We provide CEC’s for AFAA & use their manual as part of our own certification. ORDER & VIEW CERTICATIONS

Yes, all of our certifications are worth the full 12 CECs and are good towards renewal. ORDER & VIEW CERTICATIONS
7. Have you heard of Zumba? Will you be offering that soon?
Yes, we have a new instrumental Latin Cd and a presenter working on choreography to this Cd. ORDER & VIEW CERTICATIONS
8. Can I transfer your credits to other organizations for CECs? EX: Will AFAA / ACE accept CEC’s from Christian Aerobic Resource?

Please note that we are working diligently on this and believe that ALL of our certifications will be transferable by 2011. Please feel free to call or email us for more information. 9. What is a Faithfullyfit Trainer? Is there a Faithfullyfit Trainer in my area? How do I become a Faithfullyfit Trainer?
Our trainers have passed our certification trainer course to teach and certify others in their area. Each trainer receives compensation and benefits for each person they certify. We have several Faithfullyfit Trainers throughout the country. If you are interested in becoming a Faithfullyfit Trainer, please send us an email to customerservice@faithfullyfit.com and we will send out a packet of information to you. ORDER & VIEW CERTICATIONS
10. What are some of the other certifying bodies that the CECs need to come from? What is the cost for this?
CECs can come from any other organization as long as it’s educational in manner and relates to health and wellness. Costs vary depending on programs. Anywhere from $30 and up depending. To be safe, I would budget $99 a year for this. ORDER & VIEW CERTICATIONS
